Box.net Breaking News, They are NOT going to buy the defunct AOL XDrive for 5 million

Late last month, AOL announced that it was selling XDrive for 5 million dollars by leaking it to TechCrunch as part of a move that would sell off most of AOL for Time Warner. Today Box.net representative Kenda stated that they are not buying XDrive from AOL, but that they have rather used the XDrive API to let XDrive users migrate to Box.net from their existing XDrive accounts. “We’re not going to buy XDrive, but we did use their API to build an XDrive account transfer.
