Plenty of names were thrown around about who would be Alice in Tim Burton’s live action adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, maybe the most rumored being Evan Rachel Wood. (What, was Helena Bonham Carter busy? She’s in every other film Burton’s ever made.) But after Wood alleged withdrawal it looks like Burton now has his Alice, a much less celebrated but equally talented actress, Mia Wasikowska. The Australian talent, who appeared on the series “All Saints” and HBO’s “In Treatment” is in final negotiations to land the highly contested role. She also will be playing a fan of Amelia Earheart fan in Amelia, starring the amazing Hilary Swank.
